Introduction

Pinewood Holiday Homes is a quiet, secluded park offering the very best in self catering lodges.  We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement; if you have any queries at all please call us.  We look forward to welcoming you.

Pre-Arrival

• Our website has been improved now, to include pictures of all our lodges, plus tariff's & special offers! 
• Bookings/enquiries can now be made on line or via email & phone
• The nearest bus stop is outside our entrance, about 20 yards from the main drive
• The nearest train station is in Axminster, which is 4 miles away
• We can provide information in large print on request

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• On turning into our entrance, take the right fork & follow the drive round to the right, through the houses. Reception is around 200 yards from the main entrance & can be found on the left hand side
• There is car parking for arrivals outside reception, which is on gravel
• There is a main car park about 20 yards from reception on the right hand side, outside the swimming pools, also gravel

Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

• There is a sliding door on the conservatory outside reception (the information room) which has 1 small step over the doorway
• To access the main office there is a sliding door with a small step over the doorway

Laundry

• The launderette can be found on the right of the main drive in between the swimming pools & the tropical garden
• The small path is of paving slabs & is level walking
• There are 2 steps up to the launderette decking
• There is a small step over the doorway into the launderette

Shop

• The nearest shop to Pinewood Holiday Homes is less than 1 mile away, in the small village of Rousdon
• To find the shop, turn left at the site entrance & follow the road until you reach Rousdon village
• The shop is alongside the petrol station, on the left hand side

Leisure Facilities

• We have two heated swimming pools at Pinewood, one indoor & one outdoor
• The indoor pool is open 12 months of the year & is accessed through a door at the front of the wood clad building.
• There is a small step over the doorway, leading into a small corridor
• There is another door leading into another corridor & the changing rooms can be found either side of this corridor; ladies to the left & gents to the right
• The pool is accessed by three steps with a hand rail on the left hand side.
• The indoor pool is 3'8 at the entrance end & 6' deep at the far end
• There is a toilet & baby changing room in the pool area
• The sauna is located in a room alongside the indoor pool; there are no steps, only a doorway
• The outdoor pool can be accessed by two routes; the first is from the indoor pool building, through sliding doors.  There is a large step over this doorway, leading onto a rubberized safety surface.
• The second access is back out of the main building & through a gateway to the right of the pool building & there are no steps onto the rubberized safety surface.
• The outdoor pool itself is accessed by four steps
• The outdoor pool is 3'3” deep at the entrance end & 3'8” at the far end.
• The childrens paddling pool is 2’ deep at one end & 1’2” deep at the other end, but has no steps to access it
• Both pools are unattended, but are monitored by CCTV cameras at all times when open.
• There is a pool alarm inside the main building & in the outdoor pool area which alerts staff on the park wherever they are.
• There is clear signage alerting users to the fact the pool is unattended & that all children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Outdoor Facilities

• We have a small play area on a large grassed area at the top end of the park
• The play equipment - playhouse with a slide, swings & a rocker are all on a raised area which has bark chips for safety.
• The mini golf is a short distance away from the play area with 9 holes - clubs & balls available from reception free of charge

Caravans, Holiday Homes & Twin Units

• Our lodges are mostly accessed by steps, but some can have ramps fitted if required
• We have two lodges which have ramps, rather than steps, but there is a small step, around 1 & a half inches onto the ramps
• All have decking areas which can be accessed from the units

Grounds and Gardens

• The gardens around the park are on level ground
• The tropical garden is located in a large greenhouse, this can be accessed on level ground through a sliding door & gateway.
• There is a small step over the doorway

Additional Information

• The information folder in each unit is produced mainly in font 14, with the exception of certain pages
• This can be provided in audio if required
• The mobile phone reception is poor, although some networks are better than others.
• There is a payphone available 24 hours a day in the information room alongside reception
• Evacuation of the lodges in case of fire will be led by the park managers, who reside on the park 12 months of the year
• All lodges and public areas are non smoking
• Pets are not allowed
